Ipshita came up with the idea behind GapSummit and registered it under Global Biotech Revolution in February 2012. She was President of GBR until June 2017 and currently focuses on long-term strategy projects for the organisation. After running a biotech drug discovery start-up in Cambridge, Ipshita joined McKinsey & Company working on digitization across sectors in India. Ipshita holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Cambridge and BTech from University of Auckland.
