Joe is an ex-petroleum engineer with refining experience, now working in sustainable energy. Also has experience in bioprocessing: used to manufacture viral vectors for Kymriah, Novartis’ world-first gene therapy treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Current research focuses on developing a synthetic biological platform for sustainable production of hydrocarbon fuels. GapSummit 2017 alumnus and VoT winner.
